Our debut at the Chinese Medicine & Health Food Zone of Food Expo PRO has been very successful. We have raised our profile in the industry and made contact with potential partners for business collaboration. Filix Medtech is a business start-up that utilizes blockchain technology to enable traceability and verifiability of Chinese medicine products. We have partnered with a Malaysian business specialising in the supply of cultivated agarwood to showcase our application of near-infrared technology in developing a traceability platform for agarwood-related products at the Expo. The feedback has been very positive. We have met with many potential partners from different sectors, including a representative from Mainland China's agarwood industry in Beijing, a Cambodian agarwood producer, and a beekeeper from Taiwan. Several Hong Kong companies, such as a mooncake maker and a health products supplier, have also approached us for potential cooperation. We are very pleased with the exhibition results and hope to participate in the Expo again next year.

Poland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is showcasing for the first time in Hong Kong bringing together a total of 17 food companies to expand business through Food Expo PRO. Our food producers are offering a great variety of products from honey and dairy items to confectionery, juices, fruits, vegetables, fish and cold cuts of poultry, beef and pork. The Expo effectively connects us with buyers from all over the world especially those from Asia and Mainland China. The response has been encouraging. Some buyers from Mainland China and India are negotiating with our companies for business cooperation. We are very satisfied with the results. Hong Kong is a beautiful city and an excellent place to do business. The Expo is a world-class exhibition for the food industry and everything has been organised perfectly here.

We have brought together 12 companies from the state of Jalisco in Mexico to promote a good mix of food products in the Mexico Pavilion of Food Expo PRO. Our participating companies are showcasing for the first time in Hong Kong to expand business into Asia. Buyers have shown strong interest in our wide-ranging offerings such as avocado oil, organic agave products, tequila and hot sauces. One of our companies has already concluded cooperation with a Hong Kong distributor to introduce its avocado oil into the Hong Kong market. The local buying offices of two American retail chains are negotiating to purchase no-sugar cookies from another Mexican exhibitor. We have been very busy with a lot of buyers’ enquiries. The business matching meetings have facilitated fruitful exchanges with potential customers. The Expo really opens up new business opportunities for our companies.

Food Expo PRO is an excellent trading platform to extend the presence of Korean beef. We take advantage of this Expo to offer the best quality Korean beef to Hong Kong and international buyers. The response has been very good. We have met with many buyers from different countries such as Indonesia, Mainland China, Thailand and Egypt. The Expo also serves as a strategic platform to support our expansion into ASEAN markets such as Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore. Besides B2B buyers, the Expo allows us to meet Hong Kong consumers face-to-face when the fair is open to public visitors on the last day of exhibition. This really helps us increase the exposure of Korean beef.

Founded in 2007, Meliseus specialises in the production of freeze dried fruits and vegetables in Poland. This is our first-ever showcase in Hong Kong to promote our health-conscious products. We’ve met with many professional buyers at Food Expo PRO and they expressed strong interest in our freeze dried fruits and fruit juices. Several buyers from Mainland China and Japan are negotiating to purchase some of our dried fruits. A Mainland China buyer is especially interested in our freeze dried strawberries. A Hong Kong company is looking to buy some fruit juices while a Mainland China exhibitor at the Expo has approached us to purchase beetroot powder. We are very satisfied with the results. The Expo really helps us expand into the Asian market.

Indonesia is participating in Food Expo PRO this year to pursue B2B growth opportunities. A total of 15 food suppliers have joined together at the Indonesia Pavilion, showcasing a great variety of quality products, especially health-conscious and organic food items. Our superfoods and organic food products have drawn a lot of interest. Participating suppliers have been in touch with buyers from Mainland China, Canada, Italy, Poland, and Thailand. We will conduct further discussions to finalise orders. The Food Expo PRO is an excellent platform for B2B expansion with international buyers. We have also utilised the EXHIBITION+ platform to enhance connections with buyers. It is highly effective and user-friendly.

Our showcase at Food Expo PRO has gained significant attention, attracting numerous buyers interested in exploring business opportunities. Five buyers from USA, Hong Kong, Mainland China and India are looking to purchase melons and watermelons from one of our participating suppliers from Aomori. A Hong Kong restaurant operator is buying Japanese rockfish from another Aomori supplier. Several Hong Kong companies are also in negotiations with us to import sweet corns from Aomori. Our showcase at Food Expo PRO forms part of our efforts to support business growth of Thai SMEs internationally. We’ve grouped together 10 Thai food suppliers to join this Expo to explore new opportunities with a rich variety of innovative food products on offer. Health foods as well as organic and all natural products are special highlights with strong appeal to buyers worldwide. On the first day of exhibition, our suppliers have met with 95 new buyers from different parts of the world such as Korea, UAE, the Philippines and Hong Kong. We expect the Expo to generate 300-500 new business contacts for our food companies. We are positive about the prospect of business development with new buyers. The Expo is an amazing event and we are able to find many genuine and professional buyers.

We exhibited in Food Expo PRO to expand our sales in Asia, especially in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. It was also our first time participating in an overseas Expo after the pandemic. At the Expo, we highlighted yuzu syrup and lemon syrup which are additive-free and made from Japanese ingredients. More than 100 buyers visited our booth during the first two days of the Expo and we were able to have good business discussions with buyers. We continue business negotiations with buyers after the Expo. The Expo provides a good place for us to establish connections with international food buyers and market our products to them. We would like to participate in Food Expo PRO again if given the chance.

Food Expo PRO provides an important platform for HKTVmall to source new products. It brings together many exhibitors from Southeast Asia all under one roof, so we look forward to this Expo every year. Young consumers who are HKTVmall’s major customers generally favour Japanese brands. Through the Click2Match service provided by last year’s Food Expo PRO, we eventually shortlisted two Japanese suppliers and one Korean supplier for further discussion on business cooperation. Food Expo PRO has attracted a heavy traffic this year. It showcases a greater variety of exhibitors from different parts of the world, offering a wide range of food products. Our focus this time is to source dried fruits and agri-food items to expand the food categories in our stores. On the first day of the exhibition, we have already identified four potential suppliers from Iran for cashews, dried figs, and dried dates. Additionally, we are in talks with four new suppliers from Mainland China for various mushroom and fungi products such as cordyceps flower. This fair is excellent. Both exhibitors and buyers are very keen to conclude business here.

Initial orders will be at about US$2,000 each but bigger orders will be placed if customers’ feedback is positive. The Expo is really a one-stop sourcing platform for buyers to find innovative food items from different parts of the world.
