Italian Trade Agency has led 115 jewellery companies to participate in the HKTDC Jewellery Show and 20 companies at the Diamond Show. The twin shows are very important to Italian exhibitors because they can meet with buyers coming from all over the world. Hong Kong is the fifth largest export market for Italian jewellery. Exports of Italy’s jewellery to Hong Kong rose by 33% year-on-year in 2023 and we expect exports to Hong Kong will keep growing this year given favourable response from international buyers at the Hong Kong shows.

OSI Vitoria is a high-end artistic jewellery brand launched in 2012. Entering its 40th edition this year, the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is more international than other jewellery shows that we have joined. Apart from meeting our existing customers, we have got in touch with new buyers from the Australia, India, Italy, Middle East and Russia. We expect buyers to come back to place orders during the last two days of the show. We estimate that our onsite orders will reach US$100,000-200,000 this year. A series of HKTDC programmes including overseas journalist breakfast meeting, social media promotion and jewellery parade help to promote our brand. The high-end setting in the Hall of Extraordinary is very suitable for our brand promotion. We hope to expand the size of our booth next year.

Cashmere is a new brand focusing on diamond and coloured stone jewellery and handmade craftsmanship. Our products are exported mainly to GCC countries and the US. We are presenting this new brand at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for the first time to enhance our brand’s visibility and to expand into the Asian market. We are excited to have met with new buyers from the Asian markets such as Japan, Korea, Mainland China and Malaysia and understand their demand and preferences. As the jewellery market is recovering, we anticipate that we’ll receive total orders worth US$300,000 through this show. We like e-tools such as Click2Match platform and e-badge verification function and enjoy sharing our brand story at the overseas journalist breakfast meeting organised by the HKTDC. The Hong Kong show is one of the best shows that we have attended. We plan to come back next year.

As a long-term supporter of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, we have established a stable customer base and we always hope to connect with buyers from different markets through the show. As Hong Kong is a distribution hub for the jewellery industry, we have set up the Türkiye pavilion again at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. This year, a total of 71 exhibitors in the Turkiye pavilion are showcasing gold jewellery, fine jewellery and 14K mountings and they have the biggest mounting stocks to meet an increasing demand from the jewellery industry. I would like to thank the HKTDC for organising buying missions from different countries and regions to visit the show. The number of real and quality buyers visiting the Turkiye pavilion this year is expected to increase by 15-20% over last year. I anticipate a 20% increase in sales turnover for the Turkiye pavilion. Jewellery manufacturers who target the Far East market must go to this show because Hong Kong is the biggest marketplace.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry under the Government of India, GJEPC has organised the Indian pavilion at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for more than 10 times because Hong Kong is a central point for Indian companies to connect with buyers especially from ASEAN countries. This year, we have led a delegation of 85 companies including 36 companies in the Jewellery Show and 49 companies in the Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. Indian exhibitors are showcasing gold and silver jewellery, diamond and gemstone jewellery, loose diamonds, lab grown diamonds and loose gemstones at the twin shows. Buyer traffic is much better than last year’s shows. Indian exhibitors have been busy and we see more energy this year. It is likely that we’ll expand the size of our pavilion next year. Over the last decade, finished jewellery has been an area of growth for the Indian jewellery industry. We predict that exports of Indian jewellery will rise by 10% this year.

We are the biggest chamber of commerce for the jewellery industry in Mexico. This is our second time organising the Mexico pavilion at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. It is a nice show that provides a good environment for us to do business with international buyers. This year, six Mexican exhibitors are presenting silver jewellery, 10K and 14K jewellery and religious jewellery in contemporary designs at competitive prices. As international markets are getting better, we expect the sales turnover generated by this year’s show to Mexican exhibitors will increase by 5% as compared to their last participation in 2019. We’ll come back next year and expect to expand our pavilion.

SADPMR have led a delegation of five companies including four gold and platinum jewellery manufacturers and one platinum coin manufacturer to participate in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for the first time. South African exhibitors have received positive feedback from international buyers who compliment South African jewellery products on their high quality and competitive prices. The South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator will definitely come back next year and hope to bring more South African jewellery manufacturers to the show.

I bought US$500,000 worth of loose diamonds and US$100,000 worth of gemstones at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. I have already placed orders with four to five suppliers from Hong Kong, Korea and Türkiye for US$100,000 worth of 18K mountings. I plan to buy at least US$100,000 worth of finished jewellery at the show. I like the brand new online self-authentication function within the HKTDC Marketplace App for direct admission which is very convenient and reduces queue waiting times.

I have found five to ten potential suppliers of 14K gemstone jewellery and silver gemstone jewellery which come with fashionable and simple designs. I’ll place orders with some of them and total amount will be around US$100,000. I have tried the new Scan2Match function to bookmark exhibitor information in the HKTDC Marketplace App. This function is very useful especially when exhibitors are too busy and I don’t have the chance to talk to them.

I like visiting the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show because I can meet a lot of suppliers and see the latest jewellery trends. I plan to buy US$100,000 worth of diamond jewellery from two new suppliers and US$20,000 worth of diamond setting equipment from a new supplier. Through the HKTDC’s Click2Match platform, I have also found two potential suppliers of diamond jewellery which provide new designs. The jewellery market in Mexico performs well. I’ll come again next year to find more new suppliers.

The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is one of the best sourcing platforms where we can find a larger selection of jewellery products and meet more Hong Kong suppliers as compared to European jewellery shows. We plan to buy US$40.000-50,000 worth of high-quality, simple and elegant diamond jewellery from Hong Kong suppliers through this show. This show is also a good place for us to get new ideas and new inspirations. Separately, we bought US$20,000 worth of coloured gemstones and pearls at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show because we also produce bespoke jewellery for customers. The new verification function for direct admission to the fair is convenient and saves waiting time at the registration counter. We also make use of the new Scan2Match function to bookmark our favourite suppliers and we find it very useful.

My main focus is on tools, machinery and packaging because we have another team sourcing jewellery products. So far, I have found more than 20 potential suppliers. I’ll place orders for RFID scanners worth US$150,000 and laser machines worth US$50,000. I also bought samples of packaging boxes, pouches, small tools and display stands and I’ll place orders after checking the samples. I find the new Scan2Match function very useful and it is a convenient way to store my favourite suppliers in the HKTDC Marketplace App.

There are more good choices, nice jewellery and good suppliers than other jewellery shows, so I like the twin shows very much. At the Jewellery Show, I have met with suppliers from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore and Thailand and plan to place orders with three suppliers for earrings, rings, pendants, bracelets and jewellery sets. The amount of each order is around US$10,000. Separately, I bought US$5,500 worth of pearls at the Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show.
