PT Nocola IOT Solution started in 2013, we have been working with an integrated IOT system with the water company in Indonesia which is owned by the government. By employing our IOT system, a project once required a staff of 20 to 30 people now only needs 2 to 3 people, we have greatly enhanced their efficiency and makes it easier for them to operate, as a result they get to have more resources for innovation. It is our first time to participate in an international exhibition. We are here to promote our technologies to other countries, to let the world know that Indonesian companies can produce and create IOT and to see what the market wants. We are also here to look for partners, for example hardware manufacturers. To our delight, we have been approached by a company from Chile that shares synergy with us and we are to discuss further on potential collaboration. I believe that exhibition is very important, it opens doors for us to network. We have enjoyed good traffic and quality visitors so far. The HKTDC team has been amazing with arranging and introducing us to potential buyers as well. It is a good first-time experience.
The product that we have brought with us to the fair is MRVR, which now comes in 3 modules. Founded in 2022, Derio’s focus is to create extended reality (XR) content for medical use. This product is a series of virtual reality (VR) content for medical rehab use, customers would be hospitals and rehab centers. This is designed for patients to use as part of their treatments. A gamified way to motivate patients to be treated, we want them to feel that they are playing games and having fun. It is our first time to join this show and we have already gained traction and received enquiries from potential buyers who see our products can be adopted for local hospitals here. We also come here looking for test bed partners, and we have had initial conversations with a few universities here. Finally, Hong Kong is the best place to source for hardware, this is also part of our mission to look for potential partners we can work with when we scale up.
Here at IOTIZE, we provide companies a no code solution for creating connected device. By simply using our generic wireless device that is connected with our software, companies can save time writing codes for Bluetooth or NFC etc. Instead, their designer can go onto our system to choose the functions they want and visualise the interface as they wish. A project that can take a couple of weeks for code writing only takes a couple of hours to set up with our solution, so the companies can focus on developing their own appliances. We have a strong presence in France and northern Europe. We joined this exhibition for the first time to explore the Asian, Hong Kong and China markets. When we came here, we thought maybe it would be nice to get 60 contacts at the end of the show, but after the first day, I think we should up the target by at least 50%. We also appreciate the personal touch from the HKTDC team. On the first day around 6 to 7 team members have reached out to us, for example I was brought to a meeting in a financial section, which has been really useful.
The brand was first founded on Amazon with the mission to empower people to take care of themselves without breaking the bank. Our products revolve around three pillars: health, fitness and wellness. In the health category we have health measuring items like smart scales; for fitness we have smart treadmills, smart bikes etc; and all our massage items fall into the wellness category, including the best seller, eye massagers. As the brand grows, I was hired to develop distribution and retail for it, Renpho is now retailed at different chain stores around Hong Kong. This is our first time to exhibit at EFAE. We are here to look for trusted partners to help grow our brand in other Asian markets, we have seen a lot of Koreans, Japanese and Russians so far. We have received a lot of enquiries on OEM, despite OEM is not our main goal, we might think of a way to work with them due to the strong response.
TCL carries a wide range of products, including television, air conditioners, and other home appliances. For this fair, we focus on showcasing our tablets: consumer tablets and student tablets. The most unique feature of the student tablets is the integration of hardware and software, we have included our own learning software in the tablets. Most of the mobile phones and tablets on the market have glossy screens, which easily reflect light under complex lighting conditions. Our anti-glare (AG) screens, on the other hand, do not reflect light and protect the users’ eye health. During the pandemic, everyone is used to working and studying from home, and the habit stays after the pandemic. Many people are now installing large tablets in their homes. Recognizing this opportunity, we bring these new products to the exhibition to showcase our technological advancements. Additionally, through this exhibition, we can take note of the development of our peers and see if there are any new technologies that can be applied to our products. We also aim to understand whether the international market demand aligns with our expectation. On the first morning, we already had several customers, including some from Turkey, who were interested in purchasing our products directly. This is because our AG screen products are still rare in the market, this strong response can be considered as an international recognition.
As a leading company in the industry, Tuya provides developers with an all-in-one Internet of Things (IoT) development tool and platform, enabling them to quickly, easily, and cost-effectively expand their smart product business. We have until now successfully transformed over 2,700 categories of products into smart products, allowing non-smart items to be controlled by consumers. We also offer smart industry solutions that integrate hardware and software, enabling smart solution as a whole and making everyday life more energy-efficient. We appreciate HKTDC focus on green and energy-saving initiatives, which aptly aligns with our direction. We are delighted to meet both new and old faces in the fair after the pandemic. Already on the first day, we had met with business partners from Spain, Thailand, Japan, Korea, North America, South America, and other countries. We look forward to connecting with new retailers, manufacturers, agents, system integrators and more. This exhibition provides us an excellent opportunity to build our brand and establish a strong market position. Rather than setting a number on targeted new buyers, we anticipated more on meeting a customer who is genuinely interested in developing IoT solutions. Such connection would generate higher value, and this exhibition precisely offers this kind of opportunity. HKTDC has a deep understanding of Tuya’s business and has made many fitting recommendations for us. We are sincerely grateful for their support.
We are a team of passionate professionals from the agriculture and electronics fields who apply technology to develop a smart hydroponic planting system - aspara Smart Grower. With the Non-GMO seed kits and a Mobile app, it enables growing fresh plants indoors all year round. This smart garden has been widely spread across the United States and Hong Kong.
Our company is coming to the sixth year. We are here to expand our connections to more overseas buyers after the pandemic, particularly those from Europe. As of the third day, there are over 100 customers who left their contact with us to follow up. They are wholesalers, brands, buying offices, etc from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, Japan, Korea, to name a few. It’s pretty surprising to see so many customers coming on the first day. I can’t even sit down for more than half an hour! We have been really busy on the first two days of the show. We are satisfied with the growing business opportunity with European buyers. At this stage, there is no estimated amount of potential new orders. The whole fair fits our expectation and mission. Thanks to those 4 VIP tours and publicity arranged by HKTDC as well, we met lots of customers from Colombia, Malaysia and Turkey. With the authorised export certificates for electrical devices, we are ready to export our products to overseas regions. We are likely to come back next year.
Our customers are mainly from B2B and B2C. With the vision of cutting carbon emission, we are not only creating environmentally friendly products, but also apply our products into the educational and medical sectors. No matter if it is kindergarten, primary and secondary school or university, aspara Smart Grower is adopted as one of their teaching materials. Some may adopt the system in STEM education. We hope our products take effect similar to horticultural therapy, especially for the elderly as the number of elderly suffering from Dementia is consistently increasing. In these 2 years, we collaborated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) by combining tech and horticultural therapy to study how to palliate the negative symptoms of Dementia.
We are a startup company since 2022. We have two assembly lines manufacturing brand products and OEM products. From this fair, smart products are always our best-sellers. They are Apple-certified smart trackers, smart pet feeders, and our product solution services. It is a good kickoff that our brand products such as portable chargers and portable mini fans have been listed in the premier bookstore chain in Hong Kong starting this year.
Before my arrival, I didn’t have much expectation for this fair. Yet it amazed me that there are lots of overseas buyers reaching out here and I got more than 100 contacts from France, Spain, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Middle East countries, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. Over 80% of contacts come from overseas. It is unexpected for us to receive such drastic exposure to the international market. Expanding our target market from Hong Kong to overseas has been set as our to-be-accomplished goal in the coming 3-5 years, but thanks to this fair, I think we can take action 2 years earlier. I am also surprised by the expeditious development of Middle East companies. Buyers who come from there are well-researched and sourcing middle to high-end products from us. One Indonesian buyer would like to offer us an air ticket to visit them. It really impressed me.
I believe that 70% of the new potential buyers will turn into orders as we had an in-depth conversation, and I can tell that they are authentic buyers from the same field. They really come to visit our booth for a specific purpose. Although we are still not-too-big-scale, we are glad to see such high-quality visitors and buyers. Before this company, I was the representative of another company to join this fair from 2008 to 2019. Notably, HKTDC has improved a lot in the venue layout and crowd arrangement. The whole fair was impeccable. I would like to return next year to launch more new products.
We are a startup that develops electronic wheelchairs. It could be applied on the beach and lawn. It is our first time here and we have no idea on the estimated number of buyers we can reach in these four days. Our main purpose is to promote our products. Receiving potential deals worth $3 million HKD from the fair amazed me a lot. I couldn’t imagine there would be such a huge amount of orders committed verbally before coming to the show. We have been engaged with over 20 potential buyers from Japan, the United States, Germany, Italy, South America, Thailand, Hong Kong, etc. We are glad that the South American buyer is going to sign the contract to become our authorised agent there within these days.
By joining this fair, one of our missions is to showcase the tech-innovation capability in Hong Kong. Since we have eventually succeeded in gaining some popularity from this fair, we’d like to focus on our business in 3 distinct directions in the future. Firstly, to confirm all the expected orders and finish production by February next year. We are aiming at starting the distribution by January as well. Our second step is to expand our popularity across the overseas region. Due to our limited manpower, the last step to take is to enhance our productivity and efficiency by adding more assembly lines and building more partnerships with manufacturers. We ultimately wanted to ensure every product is on track and completed on time.
We started out as an ODM and OEM business, and have just started expanding to the overseas market a few months ago. Now we focus on manufacturing high-end smart projectors for families and individuals. Besides working with big brands, we have our own brand. This is our first time joining the EFAE. Compared with other overseas fairs we have recently attended, the buyer quality at the EFAE is much higher, and the footfall is quite big, which has exceeded our expectations. We get to meet around 50 potential buyers every day, many did purchase samples which is a good sign. We expect to sign deals with 10 to 20 companies in the next three months, with a total order value of around 3 -5 million US dollars. The buyers we met here are from different parts of the world, for example, European countries like the UK, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, and the United States, Canada, and Mexico from North America, and even from South America: Chile and Brazil. For countries closer to home, they are from Japan, South Korea, India, and Thailand. At this Fair, besides promoting and marketing our products and brand, we also got to meet with many industry peers to exchange ideas, which has helped us to integrate our resources more efficiently. The quality of buyers we have encountered at this exhibition is excellent, and they have the potential to become long-term clients. We look forward to coming back already so we can continue to promote our products, raise brand awareness, and reach out to customers from different parts of the world. HKCEC is a great location, and the staff from HKTDC has been very helpful. It has been a smooth and successful experience and we are very satisfied.
We started our video-related business in 2011, primarily focusing on products like OTT and DVB. Eventually we expanded into the smart home sector. For EFAE, we showcase a wide variety of products, including various AI smart boxes and smart devices. By participating in this exhibition, we have the opportunity to reconnect with many existing clients and also meeting with several new buyers, who mostly come from Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East. We have been participating since 2013 and plan to continue attending next year. It is easy and convenient to join this exhibition which is great.
Our company was founded in 2011, we now specialise in developing portable power bank, including MagSafe chargers for iPhones and a laptop charger that has just received an award from the industry. We used to take orders through trading companies, however since last year, we decided to deal with overseas customers directly, and that is why we started exhibiting since last year. Both the number and quality of the buyers at EFAE this time well exceeded our expectations. We had met over 30 high-quality new buyers from Europe, America, the Middle East, South Korea, and other regions, some of them found us through the Click2match service. I can see that around 5 to 10 buyers will sign deals with us, and I estimate this will lead to orders of approx. several million US dollars in total, which is beyond my expectation. We will come back next year to connect with more buyers and launch our new products.
Every year, we exhibit at EFAE, and every year we get new clients here. The quality of the visitors this time was better than expected. The visitors all came with a purpose and actively looked for products. We wanted to get 3 to 5 good customers at the end of this fair, and we are happy to connect with over 70 new buyers. At least 70% of them were overseas buyers from Europe, America, Russia, Japan, and South Korea. Among them, many of them have requested samples which is promising. Apart from expanding our client base, while we are here, we also take the opportunity to explore the exhibition and stay updated on the latest industry and market trends. We will come back next year for sure, by maintaining an active presence, our clients will have stronger confidence in us, and one must invest to expand the business. HKTDC is a very professional fair organiser and have thought of every detail, we are very happy with their arrangements and services.
This is our first experience at EFAE. WeWealth Electronic Innotech Ltd specialises in developing smart safety systems specifically designed for construction sites. Our product range includes smart watches, receivers, and routers, they are to be used with our platform. The choice of products depends on the environment of each construction site. For example, in enclosed spaces where GPS do not work, we would provide alternative configurations because our watches are supported by GPS by default. Our products are highly specialised, and our target customers would be specific corporations and governments. Therefore, we are delighted to have successfully connected with around 20 potential new buyers coming from Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and South Korea etc at this fair. The setting of our systems has to be adjusted according to the requirements of each client’s construction site, we look forward to following up with them to discuss their specific needs.
“I have been visiting this fair almost every year since 2008. I am here to look for new consumer electronics, like smartphones, 3D printers, and earphones. This fair is one of the best fairs for me to reconnect and to connect with industry players as Hong Kong is very accessible to foreigners, so it is naturally the place for me to meet everyone at the same time. It is a great place for us to see the trend for the market, and we source most of our suppliers and new products from here. The HKTDC team has helped pre-scheduled 8 meetings for me on the first morning, and 7 of them have been very useful and promising, and very likely will lead to partnerships. I am very grateful and thankful that the HKTDC team has done these matchings for us, as I would not have thought about meeting some of them if not for the recommendation by HKTDC. I will for sure visit this show again. To me, no other show can compete with the HKTDC show globally.”
My company sells car accessories, and I come here to look for such products. This show is very big and have a lot of products available. The exhibition has been very helpful for my sourcing need, and I have had past successes - I sourced a few products that became good sellers in Japan. I have only visited a few booths so far this morning, I cannot wait to see more. When I come here to source, I don’t have a set budget, I would pick some products and discuss with my team on what and how much to purchase. This year I want to find 5 products from this fair. I will definitely come back as there are many fascinating products here, and Hong Kong is easy to access for a foreigner.
It is my second time coming here. I came here for the first promotion of new and unique products this time such as projectors and charging cables. During the fair, I successfully found 5 first-priority potential suppliers and 4 second-priority potential suppliers. I used to attend the virtual fair two years ago but I encountered tons of limitations on online meetings. If I come to the real exhibition, I could meet more new suppliers beyond the existing choices. This time my budget range of order is set at 10 to 300 USD for each piece.
I got business matching meetings from Taiwan, Mainland China and Hong Kong arranged by the HKTDC. They provided so much support from the aspect of security and e-badge application arrangement. E-badge works smoother and I am able to check in with the sensor instead of the old reader which makes my experience more convenient. They have improved compared with three years ago. I will definitely come to the fair next year. Some items are similar to three years ago, but some are new and improved. There will be more new to come every year.
Our company is on an R&D scale incorporated in Osaka, Japan. We have been working on healthcare products for females, ODM and OEM products through our online retail channel. Our target group is the middle class. Since we wanted to shift to a physical store, we are here to look for new products and connect with my current supplier. Every time I come here to find new tech, I could bring some fruitful tips back to stir up new inspiration. Every fair, our estimated budget is set between 20,000 to 50,000 pieces per item.
Apart from the help of HKTDC by arranging business matching meetings, I think scan2match is extremely useful! Yesterday I was rushing out for an appointment, I saw something interesting on my way. I was thinking maybe it matches my customers’ needs. So I quickly scanned the product code and messaged the supplier while I was walking out. I got their instant reply. Later they will send me the product information. I believe they are who we are finding.
Since I have been here for over 10 years, I see some improvements this year. The fair is more informative and digitised than before. The organizer is very thoughtful about what buyers want to look for and there are lots of helpers here. It was a wonderful experience for me.
It has been my eleventh year here. I’ve been coming here every year since 2012. My objective is to source new products for our private labels. We focus on a wide variety of electronic products like mobile and computer accessories, and computer peripherals. Our product portfolio is quite huge. That’s why we are always trying to find something new that we haven’t explored yet. This show is a really great opportunity for us to do so. Also, the online matching experience here is valuable especially during the COVID times. My teams can still be connected with new suppliers without coming to Hong Kong.
I can tell the main difference between EFAE and shows in European countries. Over here, it is world-class and every square inch of the floor is for factory and OEM suppliers, brand new products in the existing market and mass products.
I connected with at least 50 new contacts, 10 of them I met in the business matching meetings arranged by HKTDC in which 2-3 are the mobile accessories manufacturers from Mainland China I’d further contact with. There are also at least 20 potential suppliers mainly from Mainland China, Taiwan, Vietnam and South Korea. We are a huge company with 50-100 new products every year, so we need to be more competitive on our current product range and to improve the quality pricing. We do need lots of new suppliers. Hopefully even if 50%, or even 10% of the meetings we had, we will convert them into orders. My budget for purchasing from these new suppliers is around 3-5 million US dollars.
Hama is a professional manufacturer of all kinds of accessories selling in the European market. We sell our own brand and only do OEM and ODM projects. We always say that we have 18,000 different products in our product range. In every show, we usually divide into product groups and assign up to 25 people to come. Our main objective is to find new products and trends, and keep track on the development of the factories. And of course, to meet with existing suppliers. It is convenient to meet our partners in the exhibition, or by simply walking into their booth. We need not to travel around for a meeting.
As I am in charge of audio products, Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and digital radios are my targeted products. 95% of our products come from Asian manufacturers. As of the second day, I got 15-20 new contacts. 2-3 of them are potentially good. From my past experience, usually at a show like this, we might have 2-3 new partners afterward. This number is already a lot because onboarding a new partner might be difficult. There are 5 business matching meetings arranged by the HKTDC. At the same time, I got another 5 meetings by myself through the click2match platform. This show also offers me plenty of options for new products. There are minor things to be improved in the fair but I’m very happy with the service from the HKTDC and the show. I will come back next year.
Our brand NAD electronics is looking for some new suppliers who offer audio and sound, and streaming audio equipment such as speakers and amplifiers. We wanted to find new components and to see any innovative products here. The overall experience this year has been good and I walked around for nearly 70-80% of the show. I walked a lot of steps and have not seen everything at the show.
As of now, I have made 5-6 new contacts and all of them are potentially great to collaborate further. From the click2match platform, I also had 8 more business meetings in which 1-2 of them might convert into a long-term partnership. All of them are from Mainland China. I think the HKTDC app and e-badge are easy-to-use. These are some very good ideas.
Last year we were all suffering from COVID-19. I met a Taiwanese supplier at the virtual meeting and we finally got the chance to meet each other face-to-face this year. I just chatted with them yesterday. Virtual meetings are really hard, physical exhibitions are much easier. The fair this year is much better than the previous years. We don’t have something like this in Canada. For me, I have been coming here for maybe five to six years, yet it’s still a worthwhile experience because of the rich context and the products. Even though it is a long way to come from Canada, this show is definitely worth coming.
By mainly focusing on hotline and offline products, ranging from children, FMCG, DIY, household appliances, and mobile phones, we are planning to gather companies from Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia and Poland by the end of this year. Currently, nearly 70% of our purchases are made in Hungary, and now we wanted to purchase more from Mainland China. That’s why we are here. I can talk and meet with the manufacturers directly and build my own brands here. Here you can find real products and business relationships.
Within the first two days, we received 120 new contacts, in which 30-50 of them are potentially nice to partner with. They are not the newly formed company. They are mainly from Shenzhen and Hong Kong, some are from Taiwan as well. There is a wide variety of products this year which really take time for me to find out more information and discuss with my teams before placing any order and setting a budget. I got their great ideas to bring back. It also depends on the quality of product samples we received later. I am glad that HKTDC made a very well-organised fair with straightforward and fast communication between different stakeholders. We always felt we were supported to explore more business opportunities. This show was over-expectedly nice and I hope to come here again.
We are a global retailer from Chile. We mainly import electronic devices and home appliances from China, the US, and Europe. As of the second day of the fair, I thought I achieved our goal of sourcing new suppliers, new goods, and new tech here. We have placed orders from 2-3 suppliers from Mainland China. Our estimated budget for these products is $300,000 USD. This is my eighth year here. The organiser, amenities, and suppliers are improving by the year. The overall service offered by HKTDC is superb. I would come again as Hong Kong is always the best place for me to find new suppliers and new launch products.
We are sourcing mobile phone accessories, smartphone devices, cameras, watches, speakers, wearable electronics, scooters, etc. We are now focusing on B2C and B2B customers. I think the smart home market keeps growing as I saw a lot of inventions here. For this fair, we estimated to place orders in a quantity of about 1000-5000 pieces for each product. Yet, no order is made right now. We feel excited that the scale here is much larger than Europe’s electronic fair. There are lots of interesting things, manufacturers, and resellers. 90% of my new contacts come from Mainland China. Through the click2match platform, I find 8-9 out of the 10 meetings interesting. This platform is nice as you just have to set up the meeting, then I can enjoy the time to talk with the supplier. There are 3-4 potential suppliers that I’d like to partner with. We will come back next year to discover more new interesting products and manufacturers.
It was my first experience here. We found some high-quality smartphone accessories, home devices, components, and gadgets. I had a slightly bad impression of this fair before, but after visiting, it twisted my initial expectations. It was a super good experience to see so many new innovations and a wide variety of suppliers here. Our budget order to place is within 10,000 to 50,000 USD. I also made 6 new contacts from Mainland China through the scan2match platform. I can like the suppliers at any time and get to know them by clicking on their profiles. I am satisfied with HKTDC’s services and also the scan2match digital platform.
Our business resells educational kits, 3D printers, and electronic components online. From this fair, I discovered one educational kit made for the students which is exactly what we are looking for STEAM education, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We have already discussed how to import and resell the products in Brazil for pre-school and university students at their early stages. At this moment, I have just received quotations. I estimated that we’d like to purchase $50,000 US dollars on them.
I have been walking around to brainstorm ideas for innovation these days. Among those 10 contacts I got in these two days, there were 3 potential suppliers I am interested in. They come from Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. As we have already formed some partnerships with Chinese suppliers before, it is a great opportunity to meet other suppliers or manufacturers from other regions. The HKTDC apps were helpful. I’d come again next year.
